Mom and Dad Rachel and Jason are proud parents to the newest addition to POG, Little Baby Gabriel. He had a very speedy arrival on Friday May 2nd.
New parents would appreciate meals starting later this week if possible. Please note that they live in Cross Plains. If you are willing to make a meal but can not make it out to Cross Plains, please consider signing up on a Sunday when a meal (which can be heated later) can be given to them at church in the morning.
They do not have any dietary restrictions and you should prepare enough to feed 2 adults and 2 children. Please click "comments" after this posting with your name, your email and the day you can bring a meal. I will add it to the list as soon as I can but you may want to read the other comments to be sure you are not overlapping.
Thanks!!

Welcome! Let's celebrate new babies!
This is the place to sign up for providing meals and visits to the fabulous new babies that join Point of Grace church in Madison, WI. New babies are truly a gift from above but it is not very easy those first few weeks.
Ways we can help:
Meals
Typically, we will try to provide meals every other day for a couple weeks. Many moms choose the meals to start after family or other help leaves town or is otherwise not available. I will post if families have any specific dietary requests or restrictions. We will sign up for the day and you can arrange with the mom directly as the best time to drop it off. While new moms love company (and showing off their babies!), please remember that they need a lot of rest and keep visits brief. I also recommend asking mom before bringing your children over, sometimes that can be overwhelming even if they love your kids!
Childcare for big brothers/sisters
This does not have to be long. Short outings or playtime with the older child(children) can give mom time to rest and bond with her new baby. Of course, this is only pertinant to people who are already very well known to the family. Any chidcare offers should go directly to the mom; the safety of our kids is top priority.
Cleaning
Not every Mom will need this, but there is no greater act of Godly servanthood than scrubbing someone else's toilet! Did you know that new moms who don't get enough rest are much more likely to get infections, bleeding problems and difficulty nursing? Let's show God's love with a servant's heart. Expect this to last about one hour and please make other arrangements for your children.
I will post the needs here. Please hit the "comments" link to respond to needs by adding the date you are available, your name and how best to reach you!
Thanks!!
